Host a House Party!
House Parties are critical because they engage supporters like you to help defeat Prop 8. Bring your friends, family, and coworkers into the campaign. Raise awareness, recruit new volunteers, and get donations! We need more volunteers and money to keep up with the other side—on the phones and on TV—as we enter the final days of the campaign.
Hosting a party involves gathering 20-100 of your friends, at your home, a friend's home, or some other venue. The party can be weekend brunch, dinner, cocktails, or anything else. You'll need to create the invite list and follow up with personal phone calls. During the party, there will be a brief campaign update and a request for help--volunteers and donations. A house party coordinator will make sure you have everything you need for a successful party. In most cases, we can send a speaker! We'll also send the house party DVD, offering an exciting campaign update and a call to action.
